Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of National Defence and the PPC S.A. Group

The Deputy Defence Minister Nikolaos Hardalias and the BoD and CEO of PPC, Georgios Stassis, signed, today, Wednesday, August 3, 2022, a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of National Defence and the PPC S.A. Group, in a ceremony held in the "IOANNIS KAPODISTRIAS" room, at the Ministry of National Defense.
Also present at the ceremony were the Deputy Chief of Hellenic Navy Rear Admiral Georgios Kambourakis and the Directors of the 3rd Branch of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff Air Vice-Marshal Christos Tellidis, of the Hellenic Army General Staff Major General  Andreas Koronakis and of the Hellenic Air Force Air Vice-Marshal Dimitrios Boznos, while on the part of PPC S.A. Group the Director of the PPC Innovation Center Mr. Marios Boboulos.
With the signed Memorandum, the two Parties proceed with public and mutually beneficial cooperation with the aim of the joint contribution of both to the promotion of objects and sectors of mutual interest in the general context of their mission, with an emphasis on scientific research and innovative development, as well as in the field of ensuring the quality of facilities, materials and equipment related to the operational needs of the two entities.
In the context of this cooperation, the two Parties, mutually and both ways utilizing their existing know-how and capabilities, will carry out a series of actions and initiatives on both sides to achieve the goals of the signed Memorandum.
The Memorandum of Cooperation comes into force from today, with its signature by the representatives of the two Parties.

The Deputy Defence Minister Nikolaos Hardalias, after signing the Memorandum, stated:
"The signing of this memorandum, between the Ministry of National Defense and the Public Electricity Company, confirms our common will to move forward in a public and mutually beneficial cooperation, emphasizing the areas of scientific research and innovative development, as well as in the field ensuring the quality of facilities, materials and equipment related to the operational needs of the two entities.
I am absolutely convinced, that through the implementation of this memorandum, the fusion of the defense know-how of the Armed Forces, with the innovative energy and applied technologies owned by PPC, can offer standard solutions, in matters related to the defense and energy issue, but also to constitute at the same time a model of sustainable development and geopolitical advancement of the country.
Innovation and state-of-the-art technology are important and effective "weapons" for dealing with contemporary international challenges, while at the same time we are implementing the government policy for the digital and technological transition, making our country a hub for defense and energy development in the wider area of ​​the Southeast Mediterranean, the Balkans and Europe".

The BoD and CEO of PPC, Georgios Stassis stated:
