Innovation Hub specialized services are tests in its laboratories, certifications, research, on-site inspections of PPC Group Units, instrument calibrations, special studies, applications and analyses, specialized consulting studies and inspections of materials and equipment for quality control, existing and under purchase of materials and equipment of all kinds of installations.
The operations of the Innovation Hub is not limited to meeting the needs of the Organization (Public Power Corporation - PPC). It has also expanded and meets the needs of a high scientific level and specialized requirements, in the wider Public Sector as well as in Greek industries and crafts, but also on the products and on site at the facilities of its customers.
The Innovation Hub is accredited by National Accreditation System, according to the ISO 17020 and ISO 17025 standards. To maintain the Accreditation by Hellenic Accreditation System (ESYD), the Center is inspected periodically, for the operations mode and is evaluated for the tests and checks carried out by the Center (as such in terms of the reliability and accuracy of their measurements). The aim is to safeguard the reliability and accuracy of the services provided. It implements research actions and gives particular importance to the implementation of research programs either independently or through collaborations with Universities, Research Centers and agencies that are active at National, European and International level.
In addition, the Hub evolves and develops actions with a wider business impact such as: Creation of a Business Innovation Fund (Innovation Fund), Business Incubator & Accelerator Operations, Development of new technologies, innovative products and services, and through partnerships.
Innovation Hub employs high-calibre scientific staff, mainly coming from the Engineering and Exact Sciences fields, along with technicians corresponding to the services it offers. Ongoing vocational training is of utmost importance in order to ensure the continuous development of the expertise and skills of its people.
